Concord Pale Ale
Our first product is an American Pale Ale, hand-crafted in the venerable
tradition of English ales. It is distinguished by the use of American ingredients
including Cascade and Nugget hops, and American two-row barley. Packaged
in six packs and kegs, Concord Pale Ale is available in fine restaurants
and package stores in Middlesex County and beyond.
Pale amber in color, Concord Pale Ale offers the palate a malty character
and a crisp hop finish, with the floral bouquet of Cascade hops.
For spring flings, summer sunsets, fall feasts, or winter welcomes.
The all-season refreshment for body and spirit.
Concord Junction Porter
A reddish-brown porter, our interpretation of this classic beer is a balance
between the malts and hops. The complex chocolate and coffee flavors of
dark specialty malts are combined with a crisp spiciness from the Willamette
hops for a clean finish.
Concord Grape Ale
For a limited time only, Concord Junction Brewing Com pany is offering
its warm weather seasonal brew, Concord Grape Ale. The Concord grape, a
large, blue-black, bold, robust and richly aromatic grape, was first cultivated
by Ephraim Wales Bull in 1849 on his Lexington Road farm in historic Concord,
Massachusetts. Concord Grape Ale is a refreshing amber ale balanced with
the mild fragrance and sweet-tart flavor of Concord's natural delight.
Biographies
The Brewer
Brett Pacheco, a graduate of Tufts University, is a member of the American
Brewer's Guild. After six years of employment as an electrical engineer
at Raytheon Company it was time to get serious about making beer. As a
resident of Concord, it seemed like a good idea to build a brewery there,
thus avoiding a commute.
The Other Brewer
Mike Labbe is also a member of the American Brewer's Guild. He brews,
he builds stuff, he fixes things, and he's an all around good guy. He's
also very proud of the brewery, and likes to give tours on Saturdays.
The Sales Guy
Tom Brennan is our new sales guy. Look for him in our van as he sells
and delivers all our beer, with a smile!
History
Concord Junction Brewing Company was incorporated in 1993 by Brett Pacheco
and two friends after two years of home brewing together. After considerable
strategic planning and some personnel changes, Concord Junction Brewing
Company finally found its home in West Concord in an old pail factory on
the banks of the Nashoba Brook.
Equipment
Brewing System
Our brewing system was fabricated by DME
Brewing Services in Prince Edward Island, Canada. It is a twenty barrel
system with a steam jacketed kettle and mashtun with four twenty barrel
fermenters and a forty barrel bright tank.
Bottling Line
The bottling line is fully automated to ensure quality control. It is manufactured
in Italy for Prospero Equipment Corporation. It is a twelve spout filler
with double pre-evacuation for minimal oxygen pickup. This will allow us
to produce a more stable beer with a longer shelf life without the addition
of preservatives.
